Question #45

Play, play, play! Kill, kill, kill!! We love to play with our prey and then kill them by the billions, but sometimes we just maim them. We do not kill for food. We are not even hungry when we make our prey suffer and die. It is our nature to kill birds, mice, frogs, small snakes, lizards, cute little chipmunks, and other small animals. One study found that, on average, we each kill over two animals a week. Sometimes we will bring our victims—dead or merely maimed and traumatized—to you as a gift. (I want to go out now to find a victim. Please let me out. Maybe I’ll bring you a present.) Who are we?
